  • FERNANDA O’CONNELL is mainly a self-taught artist. her paintings of waves and seascapes have attracted public and private commissions both here and internationally.

    fernanda’s love for the ocean is reflected in her paintings and her aim is to bring to canvas perspectives of the sea and work is regularly exhibited in galleries in the NSW South Coast.

    now retired susan is potting and teaching ceramics full time.         . 

    continually exploring new ideas and techniques to create unique finishes and products.    

    susan’s philosophy - “learn the rules and then stretch them to the limit”.

  • MILTON MUSHROOMS, run by MARITA SMITH and CLARE MOORE, is dedicated to educating people on the identification, growth and use of fungi in australia.

    beginning as a small farm in 2014, marita and clare originally focused on supplying gourmet mushrooms to local restaurants and markets, growing medicinal mushrooms, and creating a range of cultures for australian growers. 

    they now use their passion, experience, and knowledge to create educational zines and run workshops to help people learn all about the incredible world of mushrooms.

  • MUD CERAMICS is a community -focused pottery studio located in the heart of milton.

    driven by her connection with nature, SUE BRODIE’s practice is hands-on, creating, connecting, and immersing in the sensory experience of making with clay.

    not only does sue produce her own wonderful creations, she also shares her skills and passion with her community through workshops and events, and the use of her studio.

    driven by a desire to live a reciprocal life with the natural world, alongside the compulsion to create with her hands, sue has established a welcoming and creative space for anyone interested in the art of pottery.

  • Fibre artist, JULES BROOKER began her creative journey early, often found making ephemeral patterns – between handstands - at the beach. She now uses traditional basketry techniques + sustainably sourced natural fibres to explore contemporary fibre art.

    jules completed an undergraduate degree at sydney college of the arts and is a member of the eurobodalla fibre and textile group. she is continually experimenting with new forms, finding flow in the making rather than the completion of each piece.

    following her three decade career in pharmaceutical research, vicki is now living her creative dream as a candlemaker. 

    using a blend of personally selected sustainable waxes, essences and fragrances, vicki creates exquisitely scented and ethically produced candles that are perfect for bringing ambiance, aroma and relaxation into any space.

    owners KATE + SCOTT LUCAS purchased the magnificent heritage-listed MOUNT AIRLIE HOUSE in 2013. 

    they committed themselves to the project, taking six years to plan and save for the restoration work. since then, MOUNT AIRLIE HOUSE has been painstakingly restored to its former glory and is a testament to kate and scott’s vision and commitment.
